Barion Payment Inc. is a Hungarian e-money]] issuer that allows online merchants to accept payments.[1]
History
Barion was founded in 2015 with headquarters located in Budpest, Hungary Sándor Kiss is the founder and CEO of the company.[2][3] Barion acts as an independent entity with its own electronic money issuer license[4]. In 2021, the company exceeded 1 billion HUF revenue.[3]
In 2020, the company started expanding in the surrounding countries namely Czechia[5], Slovakia, Germany, Austria [6] serving more than 13.000 merchants.[7][8] Barion also has over 1200 members in their developer community.

Products and services:
Barion is a regulated financial institution and holds licenses from the Hungarian National Bank.[4] Barion's products include a PCI DSS certified payment gateway.[12]
Barion provides online services to merchants to accept E-commerce payment system through various payment methods such as credit cards, wire transfer or Digital wallet such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Barion Wallet. The company primarily offers a payment gateway] and (APIs) for ecommerce websites and e-money account for both individuals and businesess. The Barion app is also available in App Store and Google Play. Barion also collects information about customer events through Barion Pixel. This data is distributed into anonym segments using machine learning algorithm. The segments are later monetized and used for programmatic advertising.[13]
